“The Quiet Don” was serialized in "Weekly Manga Sunday" (Jitsugyo no Nihonsha) from 1988 to 2013.
The 108-volume series has sold 46 million copies in total. The digital version has been ranked 2nd in the "Piccoma Best of 2021" ranking of most-read works.

Author’s Information
Tatsuo Nitta is a manga artist born in Osaka in 1953. He has contributed nonsense gag works to "Weekly Shōnen Sunday" (Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha) and "Monthly Shōnen Magazine" (Kodansha) since he was a young boy. Gained popularity with "Kaijin Ackerman" and "Big Magnum Kuroiwa Sensei." "Kochira Bonjin-gumi" featuring a yakuza boss became a hit. It later led to the explosive hit "The Quiet Don" (1988-2013), which won the Grand Prize of the 42nd Japan Cartoonists Association Award in 2013. The same work was re-released in e-book format and is overwhelmingly popular among today's young readers.
