Author’s Information
Kazuki Miyata
Born in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Master's degree from Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University. Researcher (digital culture). Part-time lecturer at Aoyama Gakuin University, Faculty of Cultural Policy Studies, and representative faculty member of the Digital Storytelling Lab. She also investigates the accessibility of e-books, the web, and the metaverse. His publications and translations include Digital Travelogue's "Digital Boomerang" and Bruce Chatwin's "The Possibility of Nomads" (both in 10+1, No. 8, INAX Publishing, 1997). Academic affiliations: the Virtual Reality Society of Japan, the Japan Society for Information Education.
Chie Baba
Born in Tokyo. Graduated from the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities, Tokyo Metropolitan University, and began working as a freelance writer in 1991. She has written and collaborated on the production of numerous magazine articles and books on long-term investment and CSR-related topics, child rearing, health, history, way of life, cooking, entertainment, interviews, etc. She collaborated on the production of a book by Misako Kamamoto, who is blind and the first director of the Japan Blind Football Association, and wrote the interviews for this book as she became aware of the way of life of people who have lost their sight at an advanced age, the difficulties they face in reading and the importance of accessible books.
Hitomi Yorozuya
Born in Niigata Prefecture. Graduated from Tamagawa University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Education, and in 1990 was assigned to the Shimizu Library in Itabashi Ward as a special ward employee. After working in the administrative section, she was transferred to Shinjuku City on a ward exchange in 1999. She worked at the Shinjuku Municipal Central Library and other libraries, and after working in the Administrative Division and other sections on the way there, she worked as the deputy director of the library until March 2023. In July of the same year, she set up the Reading Liaison Partner (Reading Liaison Partner: helping to connect you with reading) and is currently engaged in substitute reading and other projects.
