Author’s Information
Born 1960, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. Graduated from the Department of Astronomy, Faculty of Science, University of Tokyo, and withdrew from the doctoral course in astronomy at the Graduate School of Science at the same university. After working at the Tokyo Astronomical Observatory, University of Tokyo, he is currently Deputy Director-General and Professor at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan. Professor at the Graduate University for Advanced Studies.
In addition to his research on solar-system objects, he is active in a wide range of fields, communicating the latest astronomical results in an easy-to-understand manner through lectures and writings.
