Abstract

Enter a dazzling world of names and colors that play with all things in the universe. The literary works included in each chapter are also fascinating.
The "Sky Chapter" introduces the ever-changing cloud appearances as if following the seasons, including meteorological names for clouds and lyrical seasonal words for clouds, while the "Snow Chapter" and "Ice Chapter" are stunningly beautiful, fully depicting the brilliance and harshness of winter that is unique to Nikko, where the author lives.

Author’s Information

Born in Nikko City in 1974, he lives in Nikko City. He is a member of the Shimotsuke Photographic Association. He won the Grand Prize at the 3rd Photo Publication Award.
His first work, "Shikisai Zukan - Traditional Japanese Colors Written in Photographs" (2021), his second work, "Hundred Colors Zukan - Words of the Four Seasons" (2022), and his third work, "Shikisai Zukan: Names of Rain, Wind and Light", have all been selected as selected books by the National School Library Council. "Shikisai Zukan" is also available in Taiwan as "Japanese Color Photography Story".
He has held photo exhibitions at Nikko City Library, Nasushiobara City Shiobara Library, Sano City Library, and other libraries. He has received numerous awards, including the Shimotsuke Photo Grand Prize Special Selection, the Shimotsuke Shimbun Photo Contest Award, and the Nikko Suginamiki Award at the Nikko Photo Contest.
