Abstract

Mariko starts working at her relative's confectionery company, but she can't overlook the ‘invisible rules’ in the company, such as service overtime work and tea making by female staff, and speaks up.
However, the people at the company are the unreliable. Shingo, who has succeeded his father as president, and Kameda-san, who knows the business better than anyone else but works part-time for a reason. Also there is Mr Ejima, who has a loud voice and a big attitude, his subordinate Mr Masaoki, who is always getting angry at him, and Mr Chiba, who changed jobs from a well-known company in a different field.
