Yukihiro Makita
Professor, Nagoya University of Commerce and Business School
Born in Kyoto in 1970. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics and the Graduate School of Economics at Kyoto University. Completed the Harvard Business School Executive Program (GCPCL).
He has served as director and vice president at foreign companies such as Accenture Strategy Group, Cyient, and ICG.
In 2003, he moved to IBM Japan (formerly IBM Business Consulting Services). He is a client partner in the Industrial Business Division. He is mainly in charge of the electronics and consumer goods industries. He was the best instructor at IBM for four consecutive terms.
In 2006, he became an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Economics and Social Policy at Shinshu University. In 2007, he became an associate professor. He has held his current position since 2018. He has received the Teaching Award at Nagoya University of Commerce and Business for five consecutive years (as of 2023).
His books include "50 Questions to Master Frameworks," "Learn Business Management from Ramen Jiro," "23 Questions to Master Porter's Competitive Strategy," "Training Your Scoring Power," and "Digital Marketing Textbook" (all published by Toyo Keizai Inc.).
