Author’s Information
Satoshi Ogata is head of the Surgery Department (Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery) at Saku City National Health Insurance Asama General Hospital. He is also the doctor in charge of the hospital's "Smart Outpatient Clinic (Fatty Liver Specialist Clinic)". He is a Doctor of Medicine. He graduated from Kobe University School of Medicine in 1995, and completed his doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Medicine in 2003. After performing many liver transplant surgeries at hospitals in Paris and Seoul, he has served as the Chief of Living Donor Liver Transplantation at the Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic and Transplant Surgery Department of the Japanese Red Cross Medical Center since 2009. After working at the Digestive Disease Center of Tokyo Women's Medical University, he moved to Nagano Prefecture in 2016. He is a specialist at the Japan Surgical Society, a specialist and instructor at the Japan Society of Gastroenterological Surgery, and a specialist at the Japan Society of Hepatology. His books include "The Liver is Everything" (published by our company) and "How to Lose Fat from the Liver: How to Enjoy Alcohol and Sweets for a Lifetime, Drinking and Eating" (KADOKAWA). Her recipes are popular for being healthy, simple and delicious. She is a member of the Japan Society for the Study of Obesity and a member and council member of the Japan Society for Food Education, and a lecturer in lifelong learning at Japan Women's University of Nutrition.
