Abstract

This is the first children's book by up-and-coming author Yuki Shinichiro, who is currently garnering the most attention with works such as "I'll Tell You the Truth." A math problem battle unfolds to uncover the mystery of a new transfer student! At first glance, it seems like a normal math problem, but you can't get the answer just by applying formulas and solutions. Read to the end and you'll be shocked and horrified, saying "So that's how it is...!!" You can experience the fun of math and "careful reading" as you think about the problem together with the main character, Suto.

Author’s Information

Born in 1991 in Kanagawa Prefecture. After graduating from Kaisei Junior and Senior High School, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo. In 2018, he won the Shincho Mystery Grand Prize for "Lament of a Nameless Star," and made his debut in 2019. In 2021, "#PleaseSpreadIt" won the Mystery Writers of Japan Award (Short Story Category), and the short story collection "#IWillTellYouTheTruth" (2022), which contains the work, became a hit, selling over 200,000 copies. His other works include "Project Insomnia," "Save the Nation Game," and "A Restaurant with Many Difficult Questions."
