Abstract

This is a recipe book for "fruit cakes" that use seasonal fruits, which are the most popular at "atelier h," a small group confectionery class run by confectionery expert Setsuko Honma at her home. It introduces 45 fruit cakes made using seasonal fruits -- spring, summer, fall, and winter.

A confectionery researcher and Japanese tea instructor, she runs a small confectionery class called "atelier h" in her home. She suggests sweets that are healthy even if you eat them every day, emphasizing the seasonal feel and flavor of the ingredients. She also has a deep knowledge of tea, the drinks that go well with sweets. She is active in a wide range of activities, including proposing recipes in magazines and books, and hosting Japanese tea events and seminars.
