Abstract

This is the fourth installment of the popular "Character Series" by StudySapuri's charismatic instructor Masao Seki. This time, we've turned "pronunciation" into a character! I can't pronounce English well at all, and I can't understand English in the first place. How can I become able to understand English? The author's answer to this question is, "If I had to pick just one thing that is extremely important, it would be to master the weak form." The pronunciation that is normally taught in school classes is the "strong form." Masao SekiBorn in Tokyo on July 3, 1975. Graduated from Keio University Faculty of Letters (majoring in English and American Literature). Obtained a perfect score of 990 on the TOEIC® L&R test. As a lecturer at StudySapuri, an online prep school operated by Recruit, he teaches 1.4 million students a year, including junior and senior high school students, university entrance exam candidates, and working adults nationwide. He has written over 120 books, including "The World's Easiest English Grammar Lesson," "The True English Grammar Encyclopedia" (both published by KADOKAWA), and "Preposition Character Encyclopedia" (published by our company). /Masahiro KuwaharaBorn in Yamaguchi Prefecture on June 14, 1996. Graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies Faculty of International Studies (English Department). Obtained Eiken Grade 1, TOEIC® L&R Test with a perfect score of 990, TOEIC® S&W Test with a perfect score of 200, and English Vocabulary Proficiency Test with a perfect score of 1.
