Abstract

A group of students belonging to their university’s soft tennis club venture to a remote seminar house in the mountains for a summer training camp. There, they find themselves thrust into a terrifying ordeal as they are attacked by zombies. Initially, several members fall victim to the zombies, and those left behind struggle to survive, grappling with the fear and tension of not being able to fully trust one another. In the climactic final scene, one of them attempts to escape from the seminar house by car. However, the ultimate outcome remains unclear, concluding the story with lingering anxiety and tension…

Author’s Information

Born in 1962 in Shizuoka Prefecture. He graduated from the Department of Theatre Arts at Nihon University College of Art. He debuted in 1994 with I Don’t Want to Go Out on Sunday Night. In 1997, his work Murder at Hoshifuri Villa was nominated for the 50th Mystery Writers of Japan Award (Novel Category). In 2001, he won the 1st Honkaku Mystery Award for Heaven in a Jar. His notable works include the "Nekomaru-senpai" series, The Case of Hitting Your Head on a Tofu Block and Dying, The Tranquility the World Desires, A Rough and Ambiguous Thief's Notice: Special Case Investigation Division Files of the National Police Agency, The Murderer in Love, and many others.
