Abstract

A powerful medical novel portraying midwives who devote themselves to protecting small, fragile lives!

Miho Arita is a midwife in her sixth year of practice.
She works at Rose Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, where the director’s own skills as a physician and his management policies pose some challenges. Even so, supported by senior colleagues and fellow midwives who take pride in their work, as well as by skilled doctors, she dedicates herself to this calling of being close to life.

Sudden walk-in deliveries, newborn abductions, emergency transfers of expectant mothers…
This heartfelt novel vividly depicts those who stand on the front lines where every minute and second counts in the battle for life.
