Abstract

Paludariums are a way to enjoy growing plants indoors using glass containers or aquariums. Because they are grown in a closed environment, they are suitable for small plants that do not grow large and prefer high humidity and low light. Many plants suitable for paludariums, such as mosses, ferns, native begonias, small epiphytic orchids, jewel orchids, some Araceae, bromeliads and Tillandsia, small climbing plants, and carnivorous plants, are now available, making the enjoyment of growing them even more widespread. In addition to growing slightly unusual plants of your choice over the long term, paludariums also offer the fun of arranging the space as you wish. There are a variety of styles, such as lush jungles and watersides rich in diversity, and there are many materials and goods available to support the creation of such layouts.
