Abstract
A travelogue of food revolutionaries by rare people hunter Kawauchi Io. "Rare people" are those who live unconventional lives and "illuminate the world." Author Kawauchi Io discovers, interviews, and introduces such rare people. This book does not introduce "rare foods" that are just unusual. It features nine people who expand the possibilities of their local areas through food. These revolutionaries take on unprecedented challenges in the fields of forestry, dairy farming, agriculture, and fishing, such as making maple syrup from Chichibu, a cowherd YouTuber from Tajima, and red sake from Kyoto. Their stories that go beyond "delicious" are full of excitement and hints on how to live! Let's go on a journey to explore the possibilities of food and local areas with the rare people hunter.
