Shonen Shashin Shimbunsha's 'Kyushoku News' was started issuing as an educational poster on a wall in schools in Japan in 1964.
"Kyushoku News" fosters children's interest in "food literacy" their ability to think independently, and their ability to solve problems in the face of social change. It covers a wide range of topics, including dining etiquette, breakfast, nutritional balance, sports and food, and food culture, and captures children's interest with large, beautiful photographs, easy-to-understand illustrations, and comics.
