Author’s Information
Aliya Galqin, born in 1974 in Inner Mongolia, China, holds an M.A. in Socio-information from the University of Tokyo and a PhD in Literature from Inner Mongolia University. She studied in Japan from 2001-2007, in the UK from 2007-2008, and worked in Singapore from 2008-2009 before returning to China in 2009. Currently, she lives and works in Huhhot, Inner Mongolia. Galqin is known for her fantasy novels, including Geser and the Holy Water (Japanese 2017, Mongolian 2020) and Geser and the Land of Clouds (Mongolian 2024). Her other works include Qida and the Dragon Erin (2020), Sirahu and the Land of Fire (2021), and Moil and the Heartless Land (2024), all in Mongolian. She has also written short stories like Little Tolga (2019).
