Abstract

19th century Paris, France.
The gap between rich and poor is widening, and power is becoming corrupt.
Anti-government movements are gaining momentum on the streets, evading the eyes of the gendarmes. Combeferre, a good-natured medical student who volunteers at the asylum, and Enjolras, a handsome young activist who is actively involved in the student movement.
