Abstract

The latest information on Nikko, Kinugawa, Oku Kinu, Shiobara, and Nasu has been updated. This is the latest 2024-2025 edition.

At the beginning of the guidebook, the beauty of the plateaus, waterfalls, and lakes unique to Nikko is described along with the changing seasons. We also pick up information on the opening of various inns, cafes, shops, etc.
Next, the visit course of Nikko Toshogu Shrine, where the Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu rests, the Yomeimon Gate, which was completed during major repairs in the Heisei era, and viewing points including the new Three Monkeys, are introduced with illustrations and abundant photographs.
Next, the hot spring resorts of Kinugawa, Oku Kinu, and Shiobara are introduced with a focus on high-grade inns and superb gourmets.
In addition, we also propose a driving course on the Kirifuri Plateau and Irohazaka(A slope with a famous scenery), a retro Western-style house full of historical romance, and a forest bathing hike surrounded by greenery and beautiful air.
