Learning from Dr. Penguin: What we can do now to protect children aged 0-6 - An easy-to-understand manga guide!
Every year, children of the same age group suffer from similar injuries. Rather than thinking "This would never happen to my child...", we need to think "This could happen to my child too" and take preventive measures before injuries occur.
Important safety points:

Children drown silently, without making sounds or noise
It's better not to give beans/legumes to children under 6 years old
Always heat grated apple before feeding it to children ...etc.

Author’s Information

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tokyo in 1974. In 1999, he became director of Midorien Children's Clinic (Yokohama). In 1985, he cared for a girl in her second year of junior high school who was sucked into a swimming pool drain, and after that, he began working on accident prevention. He has served as chairman of the Committee for Improvement of Children's Living Environments at the Japan Pediatric Society, and chairman of the Children's Death Registration and Verification Committee at the same society. He is currently chairman of the board of directors of the NPO Safe Kids Japan, vice chairman of the Kids Design Award judging committee, member of the Child and Family Agency's expert council for preventing serious accidents in educational and childcare facilities, and member of the National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan's product test analysis and evaluation committee.
