Abstract

You can innovate even without natural talent!
As Associate Professor Osborne of Oxford University points out, it's well known that 'creativity' is considered one of the crucial qualities for human talent in the AI era.
However, most people probably think that creativity depends on innate talent and cannot be developed later in life.
The author, Mr. Nobushi Shinohara, was widely acknowledged (by himself and others) as having 'not a shred of originality.' Yet he attracted worldwide attention by successfully developing an innovative technology - 'the use of organic fertilizers in hydroponics' - something that had been considered impossible for 140 years.
This book introduces tips for producing creative work even without natural talent, written in a humor-filled style!

Author’s Information

Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1971. Doctor of Agriculture (Kyoto University). Agricultural researcher. Starting at a deviation score of 52 in junior high school, he struggled and finally passed the entrance exam to Kyoto University on the third try. Upon entering university, he started a cram school. He actively takes in around 100 children, including those who don't go to school, those with learning disabilities and juvenile delinquents. His main job is as a researcher, and he has developed cultivation techniques that allow the use of organic fertilizers, which was previously thought to be impossible with hydroponics (nutrient solution cultivation), as well as techniques to artificially create soil. As these techniques are unprecedented anywhere in the world, he was awarded the "Top 10 Topics in Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research in 2012."
