This book is based on the popular serial in the magazine "Kimono Salon." It unravels Ohara Chizuru's particular style and proposes a kimono lifestyle that fits into modern life. It is full of easy-to-wear ideas, unique to Ohara Chizuru, who wears kimono almost every day as work wear. It also includes how-to tips for the "Ohara Musubi" (Ohara Musubi knot), a beautiful way to tie a half-width obi, and easy-to-make seasonal obanzai recipes.

Author’s Information

Born as the second daughter of the owner of the ryokan restaurant "Miyamaso" in Hanase, Kyoto, she was exposed to cooking from an early age. Currently residing in Kyoto City, she has appeared on many cooking shows as a cooking expert. She is active in a wide range of fields, including giving lectures, writing essays, advising on product development, and supervising food for TV commercials and TV dramas. She is renowned for her homely and beautiful cooking, which she has cultivated as the mother of two boys and one girl. Her recipe book "Ohara Chizuru's Compassionate Cooking Book" (Sekai Bunka Publishing), which contains the dishes she has been making for her family for about 20 years, is currently on sale.
