Abstract

Tengu-sama has a boil on his nose and is bedridden. The Small Tengus try to cure him by fanning him, but his nose grows and he starts walking along a path through the fields and mountains. The seven Kotengus are chosen to take Tengu-sama's "nose" to the doctor. This is a fun story about Tengu-sama's "nose" and the Kotengus' unusual journey. A revised version of the work that won the Grand Prize in the Picture Book Division of the 12th Japan Children's Art Award.
