Cultivating a “New Perspective” to Work Flexibly
The main character, Wako Mochizuki, has just been assigned to the sales department as a new employee. She has her first job, a difficult boss, overly talented peers, painful failures, and the frustration of not getting results. The only person Wako can rely on is her favorite grandfather, who gives her hints through his actions. Two years later, after she has managed to grow up and learn her job little by little, her grandfather passes away. On the cover of the notebook, there is an inscription that reads, “Ie teiki shigoto no waza-jutsu,” which means “the art of doing the work handed down from generation to generation. In the notebook, seven mysterious “jutsu” were written. ...... A new type of work novel that uses words and pictures to express the image of maturing through work.

Team Shigoto no Wa (Circle of Work)
This team consists mainly of people working in the fields of media and design.
While taking a little bit of knowledge from economics, biology, anthropology, and other academic fields, the team is exploring “the way of working in the future, a little bit further” by utilizing their own activities and the physical senses and techniques that have been alive among the Japanese people since the Middle Ages.
