Abstract

A café run by the youngest sister, Asahi, in the morning; a noodle shop run by the middle sister, Mahiru, at noon; and a cozy night bar run by the eldest sister, Yozuki, in the evening.

This unique establishment, whose business transforms completely from morning to night, is affectionately known as "San'ninya" (The Three Sisters' Restaurant).

The regulars who gather here are quite a colorful bunch: a businessman who fell in love at first sight with the youngest sister, a butcher shop owner pining for his childhood sweetheart who just moved back, and a smooth-talking supermarket manager who breaks hearts wherever he goes.

Born in Kanagawa in 1970, she won the NHK Creative Writing Radio Drama Award in 2006 for "Triple Princess No. 2" and made her debut as a writer in 2007 with "Hajimaranai Tea Time," which won the 31st Subaru Literary Award.
