Abstract
Start by quitting your boss.
A must-read for the leaders of the future.
New management thinking unraveled by youth professionals.
The experience of the Corona Disaster has led to the diversification of work styles, such as telework, remote work, side jobs, and rural migration, and it can be said that the world's sense of values has undergone a major transformation. It can be said that this is an era in which the “norm” common to many people, such as “this is how work is supposed to be,” has collapsed.
With the emergence of diverse values and changes in the meaning of work, the era in which it is absolutely necessary to follow instructions from one's boss or company policy is over. It is no longer the case that “because you are the boss, you are great” or “because you are the boss, you are in a superior position.
Leaders who are in a position to manage teams must understand the value of the times, which is that there is no “right” answer anywhere, and must confront each situation with the question of how to create better teams.
In this book, we advocate “flat management thinking,” which is not bound by a prescriptive way of thinking, but rather faces each team member individually and uses his or her diversity to better shape the team, and focus on leaders who directly direct the field to address issues in this ever-changing era. The focus will be on the leaders who are directly in charge of the frontlines.
Difficult times demand diverse results from leaders, making it important for them to work efficiently. This is a book on “team building” that presents concrete know-how on how to improve productivity while facing difficult issues and how to manage in terms of the image, qualities, actions, and comments of leaders that are required today.
