Abstract
Zen, Ikebana, Aikido... How did the executives studying at top business schools change after experiencing the skills of a master craftsman? A lively introduction to the content of the popular "Cultural Experience Program" held in Japan by IMD, known for its global competitiveness rankings!
This book allows you to understand that Japan's ancient philosophy of nature, life, and work is now required as an alternative value to overcome the chaotic social, cultural, and economic situation of the world, and to rediscover the value of Japanese culture.
The purpose of this book is to clarify the ideas and methods hidden in Japanese culture as something that "shows us around the world an alternative way of being, living, and walking in this difficult era," and to bring it closer to practice. I had the opportunity to take on an important initiative to achieve this. It was May 2023. 30 executives from around the world gathered in Tokyo. (From the prologue)
