Abstract
・ "I became a manager", "I will become a manager in the future", "I am working as a manager"...This is a recommended book for those who want to know the essence of management.
・The author, who has more than 30 years of managerial experience, teaches the "strongest team techniques" that he has honed
・A collection of "advice for those who will become managers in the future" from more than 3,000 current and former managers conducted by Nikkei xWoman
・A book that leaders who "don't know what will happen in the future", "we have to start something new", and "we have to improve our team strength" should read now
The author joined the Ministry of Home Affairs (the predecessor of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) in 1974, and was seconded to the Ministry of Finance (the predecessor of the Ministry of Finance), where at the age of 27 he was responsible for managing more than 30 people as the tax office director, and then worked as a manager in various departments of the ministry.
After being elected as the Tottori Prefectural Governor in April 1999, he led about 3,700 prefectural government employees as governor, and during his time as Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications, he worked as the head of about 5,000 Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications employees, and later served as an outside director of a large company. If the role of leading a group is called a "management position," then it is no exaggeration to say that I have been a manager for about 30 years since I entered society. In this book, I will specifically introduce the "strongest team technique to bring out the power of individuals," which I derived from my more than 30 years of experience as a manager.
● Chapter 1
Based on a survey conducted by Nikkei xWoman, I will introduce "27 things that people who will become managers in the future should keep in mind," which I asked about 3,000 current and former managers, both male and female. The author's advice and commentary will be added to the advice from current and former managers.
● Chapter 2
I will introduce two cases from the author's own experience. I will explain 17 points extracted from them, "Points to keep in mind when doing managerial work."
● Summary
I will also introduce six "jobs that managers should do" as I think they should do. In total, I will introduce 50 managerial know-how.
● Appendix
At the end of the book, I will introduce "What I wish I had known and acquired before becoming a manager" and "What I'm glad about becoming a manager" that current and former managers said in a survey.
