Abstract

Saitama Prefecture is adjacent to Tokyo, but it retains a certain "unexplored" charm, preserving the ancient times while constantly injecting new culture. It is a kind of ecosystem where rich life and culture are nurtured by the intermingling of old and new, and it can be said to be a "brackish water area (prefecture)" where seawater and freshwater meet. We explore the charm of Saitama from the perspectives of history, culture, and image formation.
