Abstract

This book focuses not on the "metropolis of Tokyo" - the political, economic and cultural center of Tokyo - but on the "other Tokyo" outside of it, that is, the Tama region. As a typical commuter town in Japan, it looks at the "ordinary everyday life" of many people from various perspectives.
