Abstract
An "excavated resource book" filled with cute characters by Osamu Tezuka It is said that Osamu Tezuka drew more than 150,000 manga manuscripts in his lifetime, but there are some works that have never been published in a book. Many of them were published mainly in school magazines, a genre that Tezuka continued to be passionate about until his later years. Many of the works serialized in school magazines feature animals or boys and girls as protagonists, and many of the adorable characters that Tezuka was good at appear. These include school magazine versions of Tezuka's representative works such as "Astro Boy," "Jungle Emperor Leo," and "Unico." Many of the school magazine manga are drawn in vivid color, but due to cost issues, they are often not published in book form, and even when they are published in book form, tracing manuscripts for single-color printing are used. This book is a collection of resources that brings together many of these unpublished works from the early days of his career to his later years. This volume brings together valuable works that even die-hard fans have rarely seen, including the original manuscripts of works that were included in the book in traced versions, as well as newly discovered manuscripts that Tezuka himself reconstructed for book format but ended up not being published.
