Abstract

This is the second MOOK that compiles "Zeus's Still Life Magic," a series serialized in Commercial Photo magazine. Tetsuro Takai, who has been active in the advertising product photography genre for many years, invites young photographers and photography students to the studio to shoot still life images with a set theme each time. From basic product photography (product photography) to art photography that makes full use of ideas and techniques, various studio lighting techniques are introduced. The diverse works are accompanied by an essay by Tetsuro Takai and a detailed lighting commentary / shooting report unique to the specialized magazine Commercial Photo, making this an unprecedented photography technique book. It introduces the "fun" and "creativity" of studio still life photography. (This book is a compilation of articles from the December 2022 to July 2024 issues of "Zeus's Still Life Magic," a monthly commercial photo series, with some additions and revisions.)
