Abstract

When talking about "celebrities who are good at English," the name that always comes up is Katsuya Kobayashi, a legend in the DJ world. Moreover, he has gained widespread respect for having acquired English skills by self-study without having lived or studied abroad at a time when information was still scarce. This book introduces Kobayashi's experiences with English from his childhood to the present, as well as the highly unique training method that he has practiced. By incorporating the element of "play," the book imparts the know-how to become familiar with English without thinking about studying. Pronunciation training is linked to video and audio via QR codes. The commentary is by Takahashi Motoharu, a leading authority on English education who has been greatly influenced by Kobayashi himself. The book is filled with many "realizations" about English learning through Kobayashi's various experiences, such as interactions with overseas musicians.
