Abstract

A world of Japanese fantasy that exudes an eerie atmosphere, fusing the classic and the modern. The first commercial art book by Kou, a popular illustrator known for his intricate lines, unique use of colors reminiscent of ukiyo-e, and mysterious motifs. Kou has attracted attention from various industries, including participating in the illustrated T-shirt project commemorating the 30th anniversary of the TV program "Downtown DX," the "Emotions 2023" exhibition at Ikebukuro PARCO x R11R, and the "WALL ART GALLERY," a special project for the 100th anniversary of Kawasaki La Cittdella. This book contains 120 original works and commercial illustrations that Kou has drawn so far. At the end of the book, there is also a commentary on the making of the newly drawn cover illustration.
