Abstract
A sequel to the popular "Learn the secrets of color schemes from the works of popular artists" is now available. In the previous work, illustrations by popular artists (illustrators) who are active on the front lines were featured, and a color expert objectively explained effective color usage and color scheme methods. In this work, we deal with many "illustrations depicting scenery and scenes" and focus on the narrative and world view created by color schemes. Romantic scenes, dramatic sights, seasonal feeling, and natural beauty, as well as nostalgia and relaxation (emotions), taste and scent (five senses), sadness and happiness (feelings)... all of these are told through color schemes. The secrets (techniques) of color schemes that could not be fully discussed in the previous work are revealed from the perspective of world view construction. It also includes basic knowledge and theories about color and color schemes. The author is Takashi Inaba of the Japan Color Design Institute, as in the previous work. As a color expert based on psychology, he is involved in color planning work for companies in various fields and also lectures at universities. The featured artists are Gemi, potg, Sakurada Chihiro, Aki, Fajobore, banishment, Terada Tera, Kinohana Hiranko, REDUM, and RASUKU. Popular illustrators active in Korea and China also participated, and the book includes explanations of illustrations with a more diverse worldview.
