Abstract

The names and color schemes of 283 traditional Japanese colors. The traditional colors that have been passed down in Japan have been incorporated into a variety of things, including paintings, ukiyo-e, ink paintings, dyed textiles, and ceramics. This book divides the traditional colors and color schemes into categories of red, purple, blue, green, yellow, brown, black and white, and gold and silver, and introduces them along with the art and crafts that served as motifs.
