Author’s Information
Born in Tokyo in 1954. While studying at the University of Tokyo, he co-founded the theater company “Yume no Yuminsha” alongside playwright Hideki Noda. After working as a corporate engineer, he participated in the launch of a startup in Silicon Valley. In 1999, his work Drifting Angel was awarded the Excellence Prize in the 16th Suntory Mystery Awards. He made his official literary debut in 2005 after receiving the Excellence Prize in the 2nd Diamond Business Novel Awards for Target of Hegemony.
His notable works include Let’s Take the D Train, Inbound, and Puffy Street in Yokohama’s Koganecho. His book God on the Last Train won the 9th Ekinaka Bookstore Award.
