Abstract

Lady Mirabelle, daughter of a branch family of the countess house, has been enjoying high society life as a stand-in for her identical cousin Annabelle from the main family. One day, however, she receives a shocking request:
"Be my stand-in fiancée and make him fall madly in love with you."
The intended target? None other than the icy and imposing Duke Duvalier, known as "His Grace the Blizzard."
Annabelle, angered by a petty quarrel with the Duke, hatches a scheme: make him fall for her—then break off the engagement. Though Mirabelle initially refuses, she ends up giving in when Annabelle dangles her favorite “Aile” jewelry as bait...!?
