Abstract

This book is written by popular hand sewing artist Takahashi Emiko. It contains instructions on how to make easy-to-use bags and pouches using hand sewing. It features a wide range of designs, from convenient tote bags, shoulder bags, and eco bags for everyday use to stylish handbags. It also introduces trendy smartphone shoulder bags and spring clasp pouches. There are 32 designs in total. It comes with life-size patterns that can be cut out and used as is.

She presides over the Japan Hand Sewing Promotion Association and has been active as a handicraftsperson for over 40 years, promoting easy hand sewing. She also plans and develops products such as tools and fabrics for hand sewing. She runs hand sewing classes in Tokyo and Nagoya. She has published over 120 books.
