Abstract

This is a boxset of illustrated post cards that will surely
bring more attention to Japanese illustrator Yuko Higuchi.
In addition to Higuchi’s work with famous Japanese brand
name companies, her collaborative work with Ladurée, a
French luxury bakery and sweets maker, has dramatically
increased her popularity. This boxset includes many of her
new illustrations. It also includes her old illustrations that
are newly colored or retouched. A booklet containing her
new illustrations, in addition to the boxset of postcards, is
included in this wonderful book. All of Higuchi’s illustrations
are hand drawn and one of a kind. Along with her iconic cat
illustrations, you will find various drawings of animals that
will invite you into a world according to Yuko Higuchi.

Author’s Information

Painter and picture book author. Graduated from Tama Art University with a major in Oil Painting.Recipient of the Ichiro Fukuzawa Award while still just a university student. Since 1990, Higuchi has been regularly holding solo exhibitions.
Her artworks have been catching the attention of people for years. She is known for manually drawn illustrations that are richin-originality, intricacy, and an eclectic style.
She is also known for her collaborative work with various major brands including GUCCI, HOLBEIN, PâtisserieE. Laudrée, UNIQLO, and many others. Now, Higuchi owns her original brand, BORIS Zakkaten.
