Abstract

This book will help you make cute dress-up dolls using scraps of Japanese fabric you have at home or kimonos stored in your closet. It features a wide variety of clothing, from traditional Japanese clothing such as kimonos and yukatas to western clothing such as dresses and blouses. The dolls come in three sizes: the basic L (19cm), S (10cm), and M (14cm). They can be used as decorations, bag charms, or straps.

She began learning the basics of patchwork quilting at the Kuroha Quilt Circle in 1981.
She later ran the patchwork class "Quilt Circle" at her home.
Her dollhouse quilts, a collaboration between patchwork and dollhouses, are popular. She currently also creates many miniature works using Japanese fabrics. She has published many books.
