Abstract

This book includes easy-to-follow photo instructions for beginners on how to make small temari balls with a diameter of just 2cm. You'll create beautiful kaleidoscope-like temari balls by stitching them with traditional patterns, including plum, cherry blossom, chrysanthemum, and dahlia flowers, as well as paper balloons, windmills, and Yoshiwara Tsunagi. You can then arrange the temari balls you make into accessories such as necklaces, earrings, and hairpins.

She discovered Kaga temari and Kaga thimbles, and learned how to enjoy the stitching, combinations, and color schemes of the threads.
Under the artist name "sayoyukiwa," she creates temari and thimbles as well as bags and other items using kimono and obi fabric.
She also sets up stalls at events, sells on consignment, and runs Kaga thimble classes.
