Abstract

Through his involvement in the education of over 100 kindergartens, the author, a neuroscientist, has identified some important factors.
These are the six non-cognitive abilities.

1. Motivation and curiosity (intrinsic motivation)
2. Confidence (self-esteem)
3. Self-control (self-restraint)
4. Creativity (imagination)
5. Communication skills (empathy)
6. Resilience (ability to overcome challenges)

This book targets families with children from preschool age through elementary school, introducing habits that can be practiced at home to enhance non-cognitive abilities, based on brain science research from around the world. These habits are presented through manga illustrations and explanations.
By incorporating these habits into daily life, children's life skills will naturally develop and grow.
