Highly praised by the three judges, Okura Takahiro, Tsujido Yume, and Yonezawa Honobu!
What is the purpose of a man who orders a cup of coffee for 2,000 yen every day?
Five mysteries encountered in the daily lives of two members of the Sakurado University Mystery Research Club who enjoy a "battle of wits." This youth mystery short story collection includes the winner of the first Sogen Mystery Short Story Award. Five stories depict mysteries encountered by two members of the Sakurado University Mystery Research Club, including "The Man Who Drinks Blue Man in the Morning," a customer who orders a cup of coffee costing 2,000 yen every day three times a week and leaves it unfinished; "The Doppelganger on Exam Morning," in which a friend who gets off the train and is about to be late somehow arrives at the high school entrance exam venue at the same time as the protagonist; and "The Turtle's Meal," a secret about the food at the home of a member of the local cuisine research club that tastes worse on Friday dinners when the father, who is working away from home, returns home. This debut short story collection is packed with the charm of mystery and the joy of solving mysteries.
