Five stories depict mysteries encountered by two members of the Sakurado University Mystery Research Club, including "The Man Who Drinks Blue Man in the Morning," a customer who orders a cup of coffee costing 2,000 yen every day three times a week and leaves it unfinished; "The Doppelganger on Exam Morning," in which a friend who gets off the train and is about to be late somehow arrives at the high school entrance exam venue at the same time as the protagonist; and "The Turtle's Meal," a secret about the food at the home of a member of the local cuisine research club that tastes worse on Friday dinners when the father, who is working away from home, returns home. Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1985. Graduated from Nihon University. In 2023, Mizumi won the 1st Sogen Mystery Short Story Award for "The Man Drinking Blue Mountain Coffee Every Morning" (the other winner was Chiaki Ogura for "To the Liars").
