Abstract

A lazy fourth-year university student came across ChatGPT and started programming on a whim, which earned her praise from her professor, recognition for her overseas thesis, and a job as a software engineer.

In the spring of my fourth year, I learned about ChatGPT in class and came up with a way to use it to skip homework. Learning that it could also be used for programming, I impulsively began the "#100daychallenge." The challenge was to create a new app (creation) every day and post it on X (formerly Twitter). What began as a way to kill time turned into a demanding challenge, but it also sparked daily interest, learning, and a breakthrough...

She graduated from university in March 2024 and began working as a software engineer at an IT company. In April 2023, she began programming after coming across ChatGPT. She presented her experience creating a game app as a side project using ChatGPT during class at the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers' Network Software Study Group in June 2023. The presentation was well-received, leading to an invitation to give a talk at the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers' Information Network Study Group in January 2024. From October 28, 2023 to February 4 of the following year, she participated in the "#100-day Challenge," in which she posted a programming project to X every day. She presented the results at the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers' Information Network Study Group and the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers' Network Software Study Group held in January 2024, and at Eurocast2024, an international conference held in Spain in February.
