Abstract

This is the first record of the secretly passed down Japanese folk belief "Gaku-Keido." It also introduces the life of the last successor, Kirin, and her secret techniques and spells. It also contains many practical spells that can be incorporated into daily life, as well as communication with local gods and spirits. This book conveys the profound depths of this lost faith to future generations.

Majinai-ya kirin-do / Gaku-keido Zuto, owner of the Kirin-do spell shop. At the age of eight, she had a fateful encounter with "grandmothers" on an island in Kyushu, her father's home town. Since then, she has been mentored by Gaku-keido and has been fully trained in the secret techniques of cave spells passed down in the area. She has inherited the ancient secret spell "Kirin" for exorcisms, pacification, purification, and opening up (fortune), and has been involved in fortune-telling since childhood, with 40 years of experience as an appraiser.
