Abstract

Innovation isn't just for geniuses. A Nikkei journalist with a deep theoretical background offers a clear explanation of practical wisdom gained from his work. This book is a guide to innovation for anyone embarking on a new challenge. This book features people who, without any special talent, have tried to create something through repeated attempts and failures. How did they get started, involve others, and find answers through trial and error? It reveals a "replicable model." Design thinking, behavioral change, effectuation, and ambidextrous management—these theories are explained with abundant examples and presented as "useful knowledge." While a working journalist, the author has studied systematic theory at graduate school, weaving together practice and theory to explore "methods of innovation that even ordinary people can use." Whether it's new business ventures, new product development, organizational reform, or starting a business, this book will gently support you as you embark on a new challenge.
