Abstract

This manga version of the best-selling songwriting guide, "The Book That Will Help You Write Lyrics the Way You Want," provides easy-to-understand instruction in the form of manga about the "logical songwriting method" developed over many years in the professional world, including where to start writing lyrics, what to write for the A-melody, B-melody, and chorus, specific steps for fitting words to a melody, how to capture the listener's heart, techniques for enhancing expressiveness, and tips for writing the first and second verses differently.

Author’s Information

Born in 1955, he debuted with the band "Lorelei" on CBS Sony in 1980. In 1982, he began writing lyrics alongside his band, and has written the lyrics for approximately 900 songs to date. In addition to writing lyrics, he currently works as a producer, is active in the progressive rock band Yuka & Chronoship, and is also a songwriting instructor at MICA MUSIC LABORATORY, a music school run by Masataka Matsutoya.
