Author’s Information

Born in 1964 in Miyazaki Prefecture. Graduated from the Film Department of Tama Art University. Made her debut in 2005, winning the Mephisto Prize for Kochūshō (The Isolated Worm Syndrome). Her 2011 paperback release, Satsujinki Fujiko no Shōdō (The Impulse of Killer Fujiko), became a bestseller. Other works include Onna Tomodachi (Female Friends), Go-nin no Junko (Five Junkos), Ohikkoshi (Moving), Roku-gatsu 31-nichi no Dōsōkai (The June 31st Reunion), Saka no Ue no Akai Yane (The Red Roof on the Hill), Jōmon (Cord Pattern), and Ubasute (The Abandoned Elder), among many others.
