Born in Abiko, Chiba Prefecture in 1981. In 2013, she won the Japan Fantasy Novel Grand Prize for "This Year's Gift" (later renamed "Christmas of the Star People"). In 2017, she won the Oda Sakunosuke Prize for "Kaihou." In 2018, she won the Mishima Prize for "Mugen no gen".
