Abstract
★The First Book by the Fourth-Generation Owner of Kyoto’s Renowned Confectioner “Suetomi”
★A Visually Rich Volume Showcasing the Refined Beauty of Traditional Japanese Sweets
Suetomi is a long-established Kyoto confectioner celebrated for its elegant wagashi (Japanese sweets) and its charming signature “Suetomi Blue.”
This is the first book by its fourth-generation owner, who continues to create sweets that make people smile on both ordinary and special days—preserving tradition while embracing innovation. Inheriting the founding philosophy that “Kyogashi are a world of dreams and delight,” the author explores what kind of sweets are needed in today’s era and presents the beauty of Kyogashi through plentiful photographs and insightful commentary.
